This sweet boy was rescued after being found running down a busy Houston freeway, and now he’s ready for a second chance at the quiet, loving life he deserves.<br/><br/>At around 6 years old, Bruno is the definition of a gentleman — friendly, affectionate, and well-mannered. He loves people, greets everyone with a wag, and would be perfectly happy spending his days curled up on the couch with his favorite humans. He enjoys kisses, car rides, and leisurely walks where he can take in the sights and smells at his own pace.<br/><br/>Bruno is fully potty trained, crate trained, and respectful in the home. He’s confident, social, and adjusts quickly to new environments. While he has a very sweet disposition, he’s best suited as an only dog or with a laid-back female companion. Cats and small animals, however, are not a good match for him.<br/><br/>Other things to love about Bruno:<br/><br/>Calm, quiet, and affectionate.<br/><br/>Crate trained and fully potty trained.<br/><br/>Walks nicely on a leash with occasional reminders.<br/><br/>No escape tendencies or destructive habits.<br/><br/>Moderate energy — enjoys daily walks but loves relaxing too.<br/><br/>Bruno is heartworm positive, but he has already started treatment and is on the Moxi-Doxy protocol. His care will need to be continued by his adopter, but this is just a temporary setback for a dog who has so much love to give.<br/><br/>Bruno is looking for a loving, predictable home where he can enjoy life surrounded by people who adore him.
