Bruno's Story

Don't let his intimidating looks fool you..Bruno is the BIGGEST baby alive. He's a giant house hippo. A land seal. A couch whale. Not only is he ADORABLE, but he has a lot of brains in that blocky head of his. He can sit, shake, and lie down. He walks well on a leash, but he's incredibly strong and does need some more leash work (we're practicing with him daily, we promise!).. Bruno is a gentle giant with little pups and loves to play with dogs his size or smaller. Bruno, however, views cats as snacks and would not do well in a cat home. We estimate Bruno to be 2 years old and around 60 pounds of pure love. Bruno is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, current on flea prevention and microchipped! His fee is $175. Fayette County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Those interested in adoption have the option to visit us in person or to view our animals online. Once the potential finds an animal that interests them, whether after meeting in person or online, they will complete an adoption application. The adoption application is then screened by one of our adoption counselors. If approved, we will coordinate an appointment for adoption (usually same day). If not approved, we will work with the applicant to see if there is anything we can do to assist in getting them approved before turning them away. Adopters will pay a set adoption fee. In return, they will adopt their new furry friend and will go home with medical records, a copy of the adoption contract, an adoption packet, and our contact info should they ever need anything.
