Bruno's Story

Meet Bruno
Bruno is a 3.5-month-old Staffordshire Terrier mix, and not only is he oh-so-cute-he's also a very good boy.

According to his foster family, Bruno is a calm, sweet, cuddly puppy who just wants to be close to his people. He's doing great with potty training (only a few accidents) and prefers hanging out near his humans rather than spending time in a crate-which really just shows how much he loves companionship.

While there are no other dogs in his foster home, Bruno has been absolutely perfect with the resident cats, and his foster feels confident he'd do just fine with a canine friend too. He's not overly impressed with dog food (can you blame him?), but human food? That definitely gets his attention!

They're currently working on leash training-but hey, he's a puppy, so that's a work in progress. Bruno is wonderful with kids of all ages, very social with everyone he meets, and he absolutely loves going for car rides.

Bruno is ready to find a family who will give him the love, companionship, and adventures he's been waiting for.

Save Monroe Strays's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in adopting from us! We are an all volunteer, 501c3 animal rescue in southeast Michigan. Our mission is to place all of our animals in loving, permanent homes. You are not purchasing a pet from us; you are adopting a living, breathing, creature that deserves safety, love and care. Your answers on the application are assurance to us that the animals we care for are going to good, permanent homes. All of the information on the application is confidential. Feline adoption fees - $125 for kittens under 8 months, $100 if over 8 months, and $60 if over 9 years old. Canine adoption fees - $350 for puppies under 1 year, $300 if over 1 year, and $200 if over 7 years old. Foster-to-adopt and Adoption fees are non-refundable. We do not use a first-come, first-serve process when adopting out our animals. Instead, we focus on best fit for each individual animal. The process is intended to ensure a long-term successful adoption for both the family and pet. Dogs can live 10-15 years, and cats can live 15-20 years, so please make sure your lifestyle allows the time, patience, and ability to cover expenses your new pet will need over the years. Will you be travelling frequently, moving soon, or having children? Responsible pet ownership includes as-needed and routine veterinary care, quality food, preventatives, and other supplies. You must be at least 21 years old to adopt. All of our adoptable animals have had a complete veterinarian checkup. Our dogs and puppies are heartworm tested. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, and have received age-appropriate vaccines before going to their forever homes.
