Bruno's Story

Meet Bruno, a playful and smart German Shepherd with a goofy side that brings joy to everyone around him. At 7 years old, this guy has been dealt some bad cards. He spent the first 6 years of his life with a family thar loved him until some unfortunate circumstances forced them to give him up. He was bounced around a bit before landing at our shelter and we were initially apprehensive on how he would cope with shelter life , especially given all the changes he had already experienced. It wasn't long before we found ourselves quite pleasantly surprised at how well he was adjusting. Bruno doesn't seem to be very open to having dog friends (and cats seem to be a big no!) but he adores his human friends and makes new human friends easily. He has not lived with or been around young children.
We would describe Bruno as having a medium energy level. He needs and enjoys activity but after a little while, he's ready to take his ball and lie down for a rest. Bruno enjoys going for walks and does well riding in the car but beware, at almost 100 lbs, he takes up the whole back seat!
He is neutered and current on vaccinations but from what we understand, he would prefer to opt out of vet visits and usually needs some medication ahead of time to help him cope.
Bruno's ideal adopters will be familiar with the German Shepherd breed and able to accommodate their needs.
