Brulee's Story
Meet Brûlée! Brûlée is a 4 year old female chihuahua mix and she weighs about 9 pounds. Brûlée arrived in rescue after winding up at animal services, heartworm positive, scared and with no one coming to claim her. She has been treated for heart worms and is doing great and her foster mom says she would love to tell you all about herself:

Hi my name is Brûlée and I would love to tell you a little bit about myself. I was found running the streets. Someone caught me then turned me into animal control. My previous owners never came for me. While there I learned I was heartworm positive (I’m not 100% sure what this means but it didn’t sound good) and I desperately needed a rescue to save me. Thankfully FLDR swooped in to save me just in time! I have already gone through my treatment and am doing great! It does take me some time to settle in and warm up to new people but once I do, I trust you with my whole heart (little secret: my foster mom used chicken nuggets and it worked like a champ. I mean who can resist a nugget right?) My foster parents have other pups here and although I don’t mind them being here I don’t play with them. I tend to stay to myself (or in my fosters mamas lap). To be honest if I had it my way I would be the only queen in the home or at the very most one other pup in the home as long as they are my size. Once I’m comfortable I enjoy sleeping in the bed cuddled up next to you under the covers. I take my job seriously when it comes to protecting you from the vacuum cleaner so you might need to put me in another room while using it. Also when I’m excited I love to stand on my hind legs and do a little dancing for you (maybe we could have a dance Party? Make some cute TikTok videos?) I’m not 100% house trained but I’m willing to work hard on this with some food motivation and happy praises. I do walk on a harness/leash however due to being nervous, in the beginning it may be best if I have a secure fenced in yard. If you are willing to take it slow and have some patience with me while I work through my nervousness with my new surroundings I promise you we will be the best of friends and I will love you unconditionally!!

Brulee is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned!

Brulee is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $250. If you are interested in applying to adopt Brulee, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
