Bruiser's Story

Bruiser was picked up by Newton Co. Animal Control back in July 2025. No one came to claim him and nor did he get adopted. Then after a month in a loud kennel he started to have a mental decline & became depressed & it showed when he went out to play. He didn’t want to be with other dogs & didn’t want to play. The decision was made that he had to be out by Monday or other actions would take place. After seeing this poor guy, we decided to pull him into the rescue. He is a chill, older male boxer, about 5-7 yrs old, 65lbs, neutered, fully vaccinated & will be microchipped. When he came out of his cage, he was excited & definitely knew what a vehicle was because he jumped right up in the truck, laid down like a gentleman and enjoyed the ride. He knows the sit and shake command and is housebroken. He is not good with cats but is good with other dogs. Don't let the grey in his muzzle fool you, he still has a lot of energy and loves to run around in our side yard.

An adoption application and interview are required for adoption. Adoption fee $250
Would be looking for a foster home in the meantime, preferably close to Covington, Ga.
