Bru's Story

Bru is a 4–5 year old Border Collie with a brilliant mind, a big personality, and a love for squeaky tennis balls that knows no limits. If you’ve got a ball that squeaks, you’ve got Bru’s heart—she’d happily play fetch 24/7, whether it’s in the backyard or your living room. PLEASE SHARE

Bru is the kind of dog who thrives with someone who truly understands canine communication and because of this we’re looking for her very specific person. She’s looking for an experienced owner who can read her signals, respect her boundaries, and appreciate the subtle ways dogs express themselves. In return, she’ll be an incredibly rewarding companion.guidance

She does well with cats and can live with other dogs, as long as they’re respectful and not overly pushy. Bru isn’t interested in roughhousing or play with other dogs—she prefers to coexist peacefully and do her own thing.

As a Border Collie, Bru needs daily, extensive exercise and mental stimulation. The good news? She absolutely loves to learn. She already knows a wide variety of tricks and commands and thrives in training sessions. If you enjoy working with smart, driven dogs, Bru will be your dream partner.

Bru can be sensitive to loud noises and is especially scared of storms, so she’ll need a calm, reassuring environment during those times.

If you’re an active, experienced dog owner who appreciates intelligence, independence, and a dog who’s always ready for a game of squeaky ball, Bru might just be your perfect match. Bru has an AMAZING foster mom who has worked with her with extreme passion and dedication. She knows her in and out and can answer any questions.
