Terriers are known for their spunky, clever, and confident personalities. Originally bred as energetic working dogs, they tend to be lively, curious, and full of character. Many terriers form strong bonds with their people and love being involved in whatever the household is doing, bringing a fun mix of playfulness and affection to daily life.

An ideal home for a terrier is one that offers consistent guidance, mental stimulation, and plenty of opportunities to burn energy. They thrive with families who enjoy interactive play, regular walks, and patient training to channel their smarts and enthusiasm. With structure, companionship, and a safe space to explore, terriers become wonderfully devoted and entertaining companions.

What to Love about Brownie Boy:

Brownie Boy is a dapper gentleman with soulful brown eyes. Initially timid, Brownie warms up quickly and becomes a cuddle bug who loves to give and receive affection. Brownie is looking for a patient adopter who can provide the security and love he craves. This little homebody thrives when his people are around, so he will need a forever home where someone is home more often than not. However, if you must leave the house - he’s the cutest little greeter when you get home! Brownie enjoys lounging on the couch with his foster mom and sleeping right next to her in bed at night, and says he really would like to find the same set up in his forever home! He also does best with a calm, laid-back canine sibling or two to share in his adventures.

Brownie enjoys both indoor and outdoor activities, including some playful zoomies and soft toys, but he also loves to snuggle and be comfy. Outside, he likes to soak in whatever is going on, though loud noises and fast movements can be scary for him. True to his homebody nature, he is not a big fan of car rides, but a walk not too far from home would be just fine! He continues to blossom every day, discovering fun, new dogs, different foods, people, and more—all at his own slow pace. He does need fenced backyard and what truly matters is finding him a loving family to call his own. He is a good leash walker and certified amazing cuddler.

If you think Brownie Boy is the distinguished gentleman for you, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org.

Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description.
