Brownie's Story

Meet Brownie — the mama who's ready for me-time!

After raising her adorable puppies like the rockstar mom she is, Brownie is officially off duty and ready to just be a dog again. This young, full-of-life girl is about 40 pounds of sweetness, silliness, and charm. She is a snuggle bug and has that perfect “take me anywhere” size that makes her a great sidekick for adventures or couch naps. She can also be quite active and loves running around outdoors.

Brownie would be great for someone looking for a loyal companion. At home, she is like a little shadow, who loves spending quality time with her people. Though she can sometimes be a little shy when she first meets someone, she quickly warms up and will shower you with affection.

Brownie is both house trained and crate trained. She is very loyal to her schedule but also flexible if your schedule demands it.

And her faces—oh, her faces! Sometimes she's got a pout going. Sometimes she's grinning ear to ear. One moment she's rocking both ears straight up like a tiny bat, the next she's giving you a full “walrus ears” look. Whatever the combo, she's basically a walking emoji set and we can't get enough.

Perfectly Imperfect Pups's Adoption Policy
Once we receive your application an adoption counselor will take a look and reach out with any questions. The team will check personal, vet references and check with your landlord if applicable. Your adoption counselor will then set up a time to talk with you and your family (or anyone else involved in the adoption process in your home). This call is a good time to ask any questions you have. Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster of the PIP(s) you are interested in. From start to finish, this process can take anywhere from a few days to over a week (so please be patient!). If everything goes well and you and the foster agree that the PIP you want to adopt is a good fit, we will then finalize the adoption.

Our Mission
PIPs key focus is dogs with special or medical needs (who we call Pip-abled), however, we have many non-PIP-abled dogs too! We made it easy to decipher PIP-abled verses non-PIP-able; simply look at each dogs picture and bio. The Pioneers had a vision to take in the most urgent rescues no one else could which includes p...
