At Yaqui Animal Rescue, our goal is to place every animal in a safe, loving, and permanent home. We believe adoption is a lifelong commitment, and we carefully match each animal with the family best suited to meet its individual needs. Our adoption process is designed to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of both our animals and their future families. Adoption Eligibility To be considered for adoption, applicants must: Be at least 18 years of age. Complete a Yaqui Animal Rescue adoption application in its entirety. Provide accurate and truthful information. Present a valid government-issued photo identification. Demonstrate the ability and financial means to provide lifelong care, including food, veterinary care, training, and shelter. Agree to comply with all local and state animal ordinances. Adoption Process The adoption process includes: Submission of a completed adoption application. Review of the application by Yaqui Animal Rescue staff. Verification of veterinary and personal references, when applicable. Home visit or virtual home assessment, when deemed necessary. Meet-and-greet with the animal and all household members, including resident pets when appropriate. Final approval by Yaqui Animal Rescue. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval or adoption of a specific animal. Yaqui Animal Rescue reserves the right to deny any application if we determine the placement is not in the animal's best interest.
