Brownie's Story

Meet Brownie, the sweetest ~1-year-old female Boxer/Pit mix under the care of Texas Pit Crew! This medium-sized girl was found as a stray (likely dumped) on a country road and has quickly stolen hearts with her energetic, affectionate personality.
Brownie is super sweet and loves pets and attention—she’s still learning to play but shows tons of puppy enthusiasm! She has moderate energy, enjoys her daily walks (she starts excited but settles in nicely), basking in the sun, and cozy naps. Her adorable crinkle-nose “smile” when she’s excited is guaranteed to melt you! She’s house-trained, working on crate training and leash manners (perfect for an ongoing training home), responds well to verbal cues like “ah ah ah,” and channels her chewing into her toys. No known health issues—she’s spayed (as of 3/16/2026), up-to-date on vaccines, and ready for her forever adventure.
She’s good with other dogs and cats, great with people (including kids, though she’s only met older ones so far), and comfortable around women (a bit more timid/submissive with men, so a patient, gentle home would help her shine). She does well in new environments, handles being left alone fine, and is getting better with car rides (positive experiences are helping!). Brownie thrives with 2-3 walks a day, time indoors and out, and would love a home with a yard—but could adapt to an apartment with plenty of outings.
She’s a puppy full of potential, so an adopter with some experience and lots of patience for training would be ideal to help her continue growing into an amazing companion. She’ll come with her bed, leash, collar, toys, and any remaining food.
If Brownie’s crinkle-nose charm has you smitten, she’s looking for her perfect match!
To adopt Brownie or learn more, head to Texas Pit Crew’s adoption application: https://www.texaspitcrew.org/adoption-application
#AdoptBrownie #TexasPitCrew #BoxerPitMix #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #PuppyLove #WichitaFallsRescue #PitCrewPup #ForeverHomeNeeded

The adoption process: Step 1: Complete the Adoption Application. You can request an adoption application via email. Once complete the form can be emailed back for review. You can always pick a adoption application at any of our events. Step 2: We will review completed applications, do reference and fence checks, as well as a home visit, if needed. Please remember that adopting a pup is making a commitment of 10-15 years, so we do not take any shortcuts in processing applications. It is our responsibility to place these pups in the very best homes we can possibly find for them. Step 3: When your Adoption Application is approved, we will schedule a time for you to meet the pup that just might be the newest member of your family. ***Please remember that we are an all-volunteer, foster based rescue organization. We do not have a public shelter facility, so all meetings for potential adopters and fosters are done by appointment only. *** Step 4: After the mee
