Brownie's Story
Brownie is a 10 lb mighty might who is overflowing with terrier vim and vigor. This scruffy faced mini with the snaggle toothed underbite is cruising the countryside with one objective - to find his peeps.

Brownie is a full grown 1.5 year old smallsy who carries himself like the big personality he is. He is guaranteed to be in there with the big dogs, dancing around the outside of the fray proving how smart and size aware he is during play times. He is currently living with 6 other northern dogs and 6 cats and proves his proficient northern dog social skills daily during his interactions with his canine and feline family members.

Housetraining is ongoing and Brownie is doing well with the help of his crate training. In the north, small dogs are not often let outside to do their business but Brownie's foster is giving him high marks for catching on with the potty program quickly and effectively. To keep Brownie on training track, his adopter should be good at watching for subtle bathroom signals with treats on hand and lots of praise.

Brownie often chooses to sit on his person's lap or squeezed in beside them in the armchair. From this perch he can feel the warm coziness of his people and keep an eye on the shenanigans going on with his housemates. Like all self respecting small terriers, Brownie has a voice and he knows how to use it when he feels it's necessary. It's typically high pitched and is going to be more valuable than an alarm system.

Brownie is looking for a fun seeking family who considers their dog to be an integral part of the family. Brownie is fabulous offleash and would love to prance around and after his family on trips to the beach and on trails. Being on leash is new to him and it's not that he doesn't like it, it's that he doesn't undertand it. He's used to going over there to meet a dog and over there to follow his kid and being restricted by a leash means he can't do this. To make up for this, Brownie makes the most adorable Godzilla noises so don't be surprised that leash walking is still on his list of things to master.

Brownie is the full package - cute, smart, social, fun, interactive and joyful with a capital J. This boy is looking to keep his feet on the ground where he can kick up his heals in a big, beautiful, interesting life. This wee scruffy face is not the kind to be carried around in a purse or coddled. Brownie is all amazing, all dog.

Brownie is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee $750.

**A consult with The Northern Dogs Project's partner dog centric behaviourist is highly recommended for anyone interested in adopting Brownie at a cost of $80. This consult gets everyone on the same page and on their way to success.

Adoption process includes application, virtual home visit, phone interview, reference check, meet & greet, adoption contract and $750 adoption fee.

***Fill out the ADOPTION APPLICATION at:
https://signup.ifaw.org/en-ca/northern-dogs-adoption-application-form

Brownie is waiting!
