Brownie's Story
Meet Brownie!

Estimated DOB: 9/28/25
Male
Shepherd/Retriever mix

Brownie is a confident, playful shepherd mix puppy who’s always ready for fun. Like his brother, he’s still working on potty training, but he does well when taken out consistently and supervised. He’s also learning crate training and may bark or cry briefly when left alone, though he settles fairly quickly.

Brownie has classic puppy energy—lots of playtime, zoomies, and then long naps once he’s worn himself out. He LOVES toys, especially anything interactive or treat-based, and peanut butter is a huge hit. While he hasn’t started leash training yet, he enjoys being near his people and should pick it up with time and patience.

He does great with other dogs and would enjoy having an older dog sibling to play with, but he’d also be perfectly happy as the center of attention in a one-dog home. Brownie is good with kids, though he’s still learning his manners and can be a bit mouthy during play—not mean at all, just enthusiastic and still figuring things out.

Unlike his brother, Brownie is less of a lap dog and prefers to nap near you rather than on top of you. He’s a confident, adaptable pup who is likely to transition easily into a new home and make himself right at home.

Adopters will be provided a voucher to cover the cost of spay/neuter at a local participating vet when age appropriate.

Interested in adopting? Submit an adoption application on our website rescuedrascalsil.org!

We will review your application at our earliest convenience.
