Brownie's Story

Meet Brownie -- a true survivor.
Brownie had an incredibly hard start to life. She was found abandoned with her four puppies. Two of her babies couldn't be born naturally, and Brownie developed a full-body infection. While her three surviving puppies were rushed to another foster for bottle-feeding, Brownie fought for her own life at the vet. Miraculously, she survived that night--and many long days that followed.
Just when it seemed she had been through enough, Brownie tested positive for heartworm and bravely went through treatment. Her road to recovery took time, patience, and strength, but Brownie never gave up. She spent 5 long months there, BUT now... she's finally ready for the happy ending she's always deserved.
Brownie is a 3-year-old female, around 40 pounds, and an absolute joy. She is potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and rides in the car like a champ. Her crate is her safe space when she's feeling unsure, and she does wonderfully staying crated during the day while her foster mom is at work.
Despite everything she's endured, Brownie loves other dogs and is always happy to hang out and play with her canine friends. Cats are currently unknown.
Brownie is gentle, resilient, and full of quiet strength. She's ready for a home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and cherished--for the rest of her life. If you believe in second chances and miracle dogs, Brownie is waiting for you. 🏡✨

Thank you for choosing SandiPaws Rescue.
