Brooks's Story

Meet Brooks! Around 1 and medium sized. He is the cutest husky, and truly a good boy. He is potty trained, crate trained, walks great on a leash and knows his basic commands. He gets along with other dogs big and small (not sure about cats). He LOVES to play, so his perfect home would have another playful pup. Fenced in yard is a must. He has great manners in the house, but he is still young and can get into things sometimes.

He loves to snuggle, and is pretty gentle with my daughter. Due to his size and energy level I would say older children (7+) only.

Apply online. Must be local to SWFL area.

Doghouse Rescue Academy Inc's Adoption Policy
We require all people who are interested in our dogs to do an adoption application. It takes less than ten minutes to do on our online form and we get it as soon as you hit the submit button. We will get back with you once we review all applications. Once your application is reviewed, we will do a home check of your residence with the interested dog to see how they interact with your family and the environment. After your home has been approved, we could start your 14-day foster to adopt trial. During this trial, we will provide you all the supplies (food, crate, training, vet appointments, etc.) and we will test the waters to see how you and the dog will do on your own. If after the 14-day trial your family and the rescue feels you are a compatible match, then we will complete the process with an adoption contract and that is when you pay the adoption fee. ***PLEASE READ: Keep in mind, that because of our extensive adoption process and being a 100% volunteer-run group, we limit our adoptions to the Southwest Florida area (we do a home check, foster trial, meetups, etc.). If your application is approved, we will get back with you. We appreciate your cooperation and patience!***
