MEET BROOKS! <br/><br/>This sweet boy is about 4 months old and is an adorable Shepherd mix! Brooks is a very shy, gentle pup who is still learning that people are safe. <br/><br/>Brooks is wonderful with other animals, big and small, and really thrives when he has other dogs around. Having a confident canine friend seems to help him feel more comfortable and come out of his shell.<br/><br/>With people, Brooks is still pretty scared. He will shy away from attention and isnt quite sure what to make of affection yet—but food is definitely the way to his heart! He is working really hard to learn to trust, and what he needs most is a patient family who will give him the time and space to build confidence at his own pace.<br/><br/>Hes already doing really well with potty training and has even been sleeping overnight in his kennel with no accidents! Were still getting to know Brooks and watching more of his personality come out every day. He loves the water.<br/><br/>Brooks is looking for a foster or foster with intent to adopt. He is already neutered and has received his first set of vaccines.<br/><br/> Because Brooks is not yet fully vaccinated:<br/><br/>Any dogs in the foster home must be fully vaccinated<br/>No dog parks<br/>No heavily trafficked public areas where lots of dogs have been until he completes his puppy vaccines<br/>We would especially love to see Brooks in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help show him the ropes. <br/><br/>Brooks may not be the puppy who immediately runs into your arms—but with some patience, plenty of treats, and another furry friend by his side, we think this scared little guy is going to blossom. <br/><br/>Brooks is in the women's State Prison 4 week program for socializing . and leash walking.
