Brooklyn's Story

Brooklyn is 4 years old, possibly a Lab/Black Mouth Cur mix and one very special girl who has had a long journey to get to where she is today.

She was a cruelty case confiscate by Animal Control. She originally had back-leg weakness due to a likely spinal injury as well as being confined in a kennel at Animal Control for several months, with very little opportunity to get out and stretch her legs.

Once joining BAARK, through consistent chiropractic care, a good diet and strength building exercises, Brooklyn can now walk and run on her own and has no problem going up and down stairs

She does need to have her bladder expressed but it is a very simple procedure (her foster has never done this before and it truly is no big deal at all). Brooklyn goes outside with all the other dogs and simply waits for her bladder to be expressed. Brooklyn is on a raw diet to help with continuing to build muscle strength.

Brooklyn is a sweet and happy girl who has overcome so much. She deserves a chance at a family to love and take care of her forever. Brooklyn seems to prefer women but has had no problem meeting new people and vet staff during her year of care. She is good with other dogs, big and small.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention. Brooklyn weighs about 55 lbs.
