Brooklyn's Story

***Brooklyn***
2-3 year old female black Labrador Retriever mix?

Hi, I’m Brooklyn!

I’m a petite 2–3-year-old Black Lab mix, weighing just under 60 pounds, and I’m looking for someone who will show me just how wonderful life can be.

My story started out a little rough. I was dumped in Southwestern Ohio with a big group of other dogs. But despite my past, I’m a very sweet girl with a whole lot of love to give. I’m what you might call a velcro dog because I really love being close to my people. If there’s a comfy spot next to you, I’ll happily snuggle in!

I can be a little timid when I first meet new people or experience new things, but I’m also curious. With some gentle encouragement and a little patience, I’m willing to give new adventures a try. I just need someone who will let me take things at my own pace and remind me that I’m safe.

I’m also good with other dogs, and I’d love to have a confident, friendly doggie sibling to show me the ropes and keep me company.

I have a low prey drive, too! I haven’t been tested with cats yet, but given my temperament and low prey drive, I’m likely to do just fine with them—with the proper introductions, of course.

And because I’m a Lab at heart, I LOVE my food! I may not know any fancy party tricks yet, but I’m pretty sure treats are an excellent way to start my education.

I appear to be housebroken and crate trained, too!

What I’m really hoping for is a loving home where I can feel secure, build my confidence, and be someone’s devoted companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly girl who will happily follow you around, enjoy the company of another dog, and love you with her whole heart, I just might be your girl.

I’m Brooklyn, and I’m ready for my happily ever after.

If you'd like to meet me, and if you are an approved LELRR adopter, refer to the instructions on your approval email.

Otherwise, please fill out an application at:
https://www.lelrr.org/adopt.html

and maybe soon we can start your lives together!!

Be prepared to provide proof of up to date vaccinations and year round heartworm preventative for any current or recent pets that you have owned.

Adoption radius 150 driving miles from Medina OHIO
