Meet Brooke
Meet Brooke! A 2 year-old Yorkie/Poodle mix who weighs 8 pounds. She is a bubbly, bouncy, energetic, happy girl. She is a going to need an experienced owner and a strong leader. Brooke is a smart girl and learns quickly, but she can be stubborn and likes to get her own way. She gets along with other dogs, but can be dog selective so we feel she would be better as the only dog in the home. She tends to bark when she first meets other dogs so a proper introduction is necessary. Brooke loves to sit in your lap and cuddle with you.
Because of Brooke's bossiness we will not adopt her to a home with children under the age of 15. Brooke would do well in a home with a yard.
Brooke had luxating patellas (trick knee), which is a condition where the kneecap slips out of its normal position. It is common in smaller breeds and she was most likely born this way. She had surgery to correct it and has made a full recovery, still we would not want her jumping off a couch or a bed.
If you are interested in meeting Brooke, please first fill out the online adoption application at www.greatpets.org. If you have any questions you can email us at info@greatpets.org. Brooke's $200 adoption donation covers her spay surgery, vet exam, vaccinations, flea treatment and microchip.
