Brook's Story

Hello, my name is Brook! I came to the shelter under unusual circumstances. Someone found me running loose, and it was never determined who I belonged to or where I came from. If only I had a voice of my own to tell my story! Wearing nothing but a tight collar and no microchip, I was terrified and found it very hard to trust anyone. With a little love, patience, and time, the ACO’s quickly became my favorite people. I am a bit nervous but with the right person, I would be a great companion. I strongly prefer woman over men. My ideal owner would be a confident woman who likes to enjoy the quiet of nature, away from the hustle and bustle. I like to chase moving cars and will require additional training to help me with this. I’d consider myself to be more of a country girl than a city slicker. I will require several meetings at the shelter before I can confidently move into a home. I’m estimated to be around 4 or 5 years old, spayed, up to date on all my vaccines, and microchipped.
