Bronco's Story

Hey, it's Bronco, the big black teddy bear. I might look scary, but I promise I'm the most gentle giant there is. I do have a fear of men, which I'm working to get over my fear. If you bring me the good snacks, like chicken or cheese. I'll be your best friend. I definitely had a rough life before coming to PPAS. I was found as a stray, all beat up after getting in a dog fight. I'm not sure what really happened, but all I know is PPAS saved my life. They've had dog tested me test with other dogs; I tend to be more scared of them. The bigger dogs than me, I tend not to like. A home without other animals might do better for me. If I do have to share a home with others, I would like to meet them first. The staff and volunteers know how playful and loving I am. I do love to play with toys. The best part is you can steal my heart with treats. After a nice walk, I would just like to lie in your lap. If you're looking for a capanion, I would be really good. If your day looks like sitting on the couch watching TV, eating snacks. I would be the best fit for you! Come meet me today!! I promise I'll be the best boy!

Prairie Paws Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Our animals change daily, so please check our lists of adoptable dogs and adoptable cats frequently. All PPAS pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on routine vaccines (including rabies if age appropriate), and will be microchipped and registered in the adopter's name at the time of adoption. Adopters get a free consultation at an area vet partner within 14 days of adoption. Any dog that is six months of age or older will be tested for Heartworms and if found negative, will be kept on Heartworm prevention during their shelter stay, after the adoption it is up to the adopter to continue the highly recommended Heartworm preventative treatment. Also all PPAS shelter dogs are treated with a monthly topical flea/tick preventative and we ask that adopters continue that treatment as well. If you are interested in this pet, please contact us!
