Bro's Story
Breed: Chihuahua / Terrier mix
Age: 7 yrs.
Weight: 9.5 lbs.
Good with dogs: yes
Good with cats: unsure
Good with kids: unsure
Energy level: unsure
Good with men/strangers: yes
Hypoallergenic: no

Special home requirements or medical: none

Additional info:

Bro has a stoic attitude and the cutest wispy coat. He’s house-trained, leash-trained, good in the bath, and will even alert the house he needs to go potty by waiting at the door. He can be a little bit shy and nervous when meeting new people or being on car rides, so he definitely needs someone who is understanding of that and will ensure a slow and non-overstimulating welcome. He adores being on walks and has a need for speed but still needs time adjusting to being around multiple dogs off his leash. He’ll definitely need someone who can read his facial and body cues because he’s protective of his peace and space, meaning if he feels overwhelmed, he will bark and growl to stand his ground. He would do best in a home with a doggie friend who won’t immediately overwhelm him but can slowly get to know him and be a cuddle buddy. Although he doesn’t have separation anxiety, he doesn’t seem to do well with outdoor sounds or the sounds of movement in buildings/closing of doors, so he would be best with someone who can take the time to continue training him and letting him know that there’s nothing to be alarmed about! His adorable teeth and go-to “tongue out” face will brighten up anyone’s day so don’t be fooled by his reserved facial expressions; this guy is the absolute sweetest buddy you could ask for and will win over your heart.

If you are not ready to adopt just yet and would like to help in other ways, please consider clicking on the green “Sponsor Me” button above to help this dog receive the best care we can give.
