Happy Texas Tails's Adoption Policy
All prospective adopters fill out an adoption application prior to visiting with any dogs.
We require a vet reference as well as personal references which are verified.
We ask that applicants provide a video of the home the dog will live in.
Prospective adopters then set an appoint to meet the dog. If the meeting goes well, the adopter will take their new pet home.
We do a follow-up at 3 days, 3 weeks and 3 months to check on the progress.

Happy Texas Tails has a mission to find homes for the homeless dogs in the Odessa/Midland, TX area. We also help owners keep their pets by providing support (i.e. vaccinations, food, vet care) thus reducing the number of dogs euthanized at the local animal shelter.
