Brina (26-080)'s Story
3/24/26 - ** Note directly from Brina's foster parent! **
"Brina is still doing absolutely amazing. She's fantastic with our dog and 6 and 8 year old. I think she's barked maybe once? Brina is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. She can never have enough pets :) Brina is a southern girl, she doesn't like the cold or getting her paws wet but she's potty trained! Whoever had her before us, did a great job! Any family would be lucky to have her :) Brina was a bit of a counter surfer when she came to us but she picks up on things very quickly! We say "crate" before we leave and she goes right in. She's not food aggressive either, we can stick our hands in her bowl, when she eats. I have a follow up heartworm appointment scheduled for next week"

Meet Brina

Brina is a gorgeous 5-year-old black and tan shepherd who weighs about 75 pounds. She joined us as a shelter transfer from the South and has been settling in wonderfully. From what we've seen so far, she's a very sweet, happy girl who enjoys meeting new people and soaking up attention.

Brina is currently heartworm positive, but she started treatment at the shelter she came from and we will continue her care to make sure she stays on the path to a full recovery.

The good news is that she's already doing so great in her foster home! She's living with a male dog and has been doing very well there, showing that she can happily coexist with other dogs.

Because Brina is in a foster home and not at the rescue, anyone interested in meeting her will need to call ahead to arrange a time to meet her at the rescue building with her foster family.

Brina is looking for a loving, patient home that will continue supporting her through treatment and give her the happy life she deserves. She's already proving to be a wonderful girl, and we think she'll make a fantastic companion for the right family.
