Brilliant Buddy

Buddy is a 5-year-old, 92 lb mix of black German Shepherd (50%), American Bully (35%), and Pit Bull Terrier (15%) as confirmed by DNA testing through Embark (and confirmed similarly by Wisdom Panel). <br/><br/>When his current family rescued him from the shelter, they listed him as a Pit Bull. Initially, they thought he resembled a Lab, so they tested his DNA. <br/><br/>Buddy has been through a lot in his life but is still incredibly gentle. He was severely mauled—his lip, tongue, and right eyelid were torn, and his front teeth are nearly ground to nothing from gnawing on cage bars. His right front leg bones were broken, and he limps after long walks. Despite all his suffering, Buddy is an incredibly friendly and loving dog, especially with people.<br/><br/>He has no food aggression and is very eager to please. Because of his past, Buddy would thrive as a companion in a home with no other animals. He is extremely responsive to love and returns affection a hundredfold. Buddy craves human company and gets anxious and cries when left alone.
