Briella's Story

***Currently located in Guerrero, Mexico***

Hello

My name is Briella and I am part of the B-Litter with my sister and my two brothers. When we were born, there were 8 of us and the family that my mom chose to care for us, was super nice, but they couldn't keep us all. So, we came to the shelter in the big city!

I need to admit, that for me everything was very hard. So many new smells, new people and new dogs! I was always very cautious about the humans. After spending over a year at the shelter in Zihuatanejo I have learned that humans definitely can be trusted. They are in fact very nice and are always happy to give me a gentle pet on the head or scratch my chin (favorite spot!! ) It will take me only a few moments to warm up to women, but I will need a bit more time with men.

When I trust you, I give you my heart and all my love. I am very submissive and try to please you as well as I can! I will follow you around everywhere you go and when you stop and notice me and give me some cuddles, I am the happiest girl in the world!

In the shelter we sleep in crates at night and I am totally fine with that. The other dogs are actually quite cool and I enjoy playing with them! I am very submissive and no dog has ever gotten into a fight with me - even though we had quite a few rowdies since I am here! - because I will just roll under them and show a lot of puppy behvaiour, so they know I am not a threat! Cats don't really bother me, they are just chilling and I am not afraid of them, which makes me think, I am very courageous!

I am curious about new things, I will not hide, I am usually inspecting the new situation from a little distance. I really would love to have a home, with patient and calm people, that already have dog experience. Being part of a family is my biggest dream! Another dog would also be great for me to learn from him/her and to give me confidence!

Hope to hear from you!

Love, Briella

If you are interested in FOSTERING, click on the Foster Button and fill out the online Foster Application
If you are interested in ADOPTING, click on the Adopt Button and fill out the online Adoption Application
Check out our VOLUNTEER Opportunities here https://www.surfersforstrays.org/get-involved

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
