Bridge's Story
Meet Bridge

Bridge is one of those dogs who just grabs hold of your heart. He’s a senior boy, around 8–10 years old, and he’s proof that age really is just a number. Right now he’s working with Valentina at Guiding Canines and learning what it means to just be a dog again.

His past hasn’t been easy. Bridge survived being hit by a car twice while living on the streets. As if that wasn’t enough, he was also mauled by another dog near the trailer he used to crawl under for safety. It’s a miracle this sweet soul is even here.

Bridge can be shy when you first meet him, but once he decides you’re his person, you’ve got a best friend for life. On Saturday, we met up with Valentina and Sara (the kind soul who first found him) at Swamp Rabbit Café, and Bridge did so well.

He’s making big progress: sleeping through the night in his crate with no accidents, and learning how to “ring the bells” when he needs to go potty during the day. Neuter is scheduled on 9/26/25.

What Bridge needs now is a forever home where he can learn what it’s like to be loved unconditionally in a family.

Here’s what would make the best match for Bridge:
* No cats or small animals
* No kids under 12
* Female dogs only if there are resident pups
* A calm home without lots of people coming and going

Bridge has already been through the worst. He just needs a soft place to call home.

Adoption Fee: $100

Follow Us On Social Media:
-Instagram: @dogsquad_sc
-Facebook: @dogsquadsc
