Brickley's Story
Brickley is ready to be your smiley best buddy! He is a great, well-rounded pup ready to be your future sidekick.

Currently living in a foster home, this handsome, good-natured bro has shown that he is a great house guest. He loves being with his people and simply hanging out. He loves getting and giving kisses, and taking naps next to his person. He also is great at self-entertaining with a favorite bone or toy. He enjoys activity, such as going for walks and exploring when the weather is nice, or romping around in the snow, but overall he is a pretty chill guy - with a touch of goofy cheer to keep everyone laughing.

Brickley has been polite in the home and easy to have around. He's totally housebroken and has been non-destructive when left alone during the workday. He does expect treats after potty time and, he likes to be tucked in and given kisses before bed (non-negotiable).Let him snuggle up and give him a good butt scratch, and he'll be your best friend. If you're looking for a co-pilot, he also loves car rides. Brickley has also been playful meeting other dogs in play group and has been friendly with the cat in his foster home. Overall he is a social, friendly sweetheart!

Brickley is estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs 57 lbs. You must schedule a meet with a dog in advance - we are not currently accepting walk-ins. Please look online first to see if there are any dogs you think would be a good fit for your home before scheduling a meet. To get the process started, visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog and fill out the form. One of our adoption counselors will get in touch to schedule and confirm your meet! At the kennel, an adoption counselor will introduce you and your family to the adoptable dogs, share information we know about them, and discuss our suggested ways for successfully integrating a new dog into your home. You are welcome to meet multiple dogs. If the dog you adopt is already fixed, he or she may leave with you that day - otherwise, the dog can go home after receiving the spay or neuter surgery.)

About Our Dogs: All available dogs have gone through a behavioral and medical assessment. This assessment is a snapshot of who the dog is at that given time. We cannot make any guarantees with regard to behavior, temperament or health of any City Dog once they are in the home. Most of our dogs are picked up as strays, so we do not know what kind of home environment they were living in (i.e. with kids, other dogs or other cats), nor do we know if most of them are house trained. Everything we know about them is based on volunteer and staff observations. We do have some dogs in foster homes, where they will have more information about how the dog is in a home environment. It is very hard to tell with certainty whether or not a dog will be good with kids, cats or another dog. If you have kids in the home or another dog, we do require that they be present for a meet and greet with the dog you are considering for adoption.

Heath/Vaccinations: Dogs that are adopted directly from the kennel need to go to your personal vet within two weeks of leaving the kennel. All dogs receive their DAPPL, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccines, though you may be required to get follow up boosters. All dogs come microchipped and with a Cuyahoga County license.
