Brick's Story

Meet Brick!
Brick is a 2-year-old Retriever/Hound mix (best guess) who has been with us for 19 months—far too long for such a good boy. He came to us from Texas, where he first lived in foster care before making the trip to the Pacific Northwest. Since day one, Brick has been a joyful, affectionate pup who loves dogs, cats, kids, and people alike.

Foster Update
Around here, Brick’s nickname is “Classic Dog.” He arrived as the puppiest of puppies—happy, goofy, and passionate about sticks, toys, and fetch. Now almost 2, he’s grown into the most adolescent of adolescents—still sweet and loving, but working through big feelings that sometimes make him loud, impulsive, or unsure in new situations. In the places and with the people he knows, Brick is endlessly affectionate, playful, and loyal.

Brick is crate- and potty-trained, knows his basics, and enjoys learning. He thrives with structure and would do best in a patient, committed home that’s ready to continue his training and help him navigate the last stretch of adolescence. Once settled, Brick will be the dog who greets you at the door with his favorite ball, snuggles on the couch, and joins you on walks and adventures.

Brick currently lives on a small farm with other dogs, cats, and even horses, and does well with them all after proper introductions. He’d love a home with a securely fenced yard, another dog to show him the ropes, and calm, older kids who can participate in his training. With consistency, time, and love, Brick will grow into the confident, joyful, Classic Dog we know he’s meant to be.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.

Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application

Animal History: Brick arrived from Animal Advocacy and Rescue in De Rio Texas on 2/3/2024 and has since been fostered in Snohomish. He is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area.
