Bria's Story

Bria loves to cuddle, loves to be cuddled, loves to go on walks, very eager to learn and is attentive. Her temporary foster lives on a lake and Bria loves the water. Slow introductions are needed when she meets another dog or she can be an only dog in the home. Bria is an amazingly sweet girl, loves affection and being with people. She leans in for pets from every new person she meets! She has met adults, kids and has done great in a variety of situations. She LOVES being outside. Playing and just watching everything that is happening. Inside, she prefers to sit close to people! She is not shy when asking for belly rubs. Bria is young and has a lot of energy. She loves playing ball outside, loves any and every kind of ball. She enjoys playing with stuffies, isn't super destructive but will shred one occasionally ;) If unattended, she will find something to chew on, if shoes aren't put away, she will find them! She loves to be silly, grab something and have you chase her. She plays with all types of toys and can entertain herself for long periods of time. She loves going for walks! She is not reactive to other dogs while walking but will pull if another dog walks near. Squirrels are very interesting to her, she will pull when she sees one but is getting better! She is crate trained. She will go in easily when you are leaving, she will also go in for a nap on her own when tired. She has never had an accident in her crate. She is currently living with another dog. They were kept completely separate for the first week. We started having them in the same room for short periods with leashes on. Now they are able to be in the house without leashes only when they are constantly supervised. Bria would be great as an only dog, she loves all the attention and snuggles. She could have a dog sibling if the new family went very slow and monitored constantly for a long time. Bria is not dog aggressive or reactive but if another dog comes up barking (even if it's just play) she gets scared and will react. She does seem to have a prey drive (squirrels, bunnies, woodchucks...) so we do not know how she would be with a cat. Bria would love an active family! She is eager to please and would thrive with positive reinforcement training (no prong or shock collars!!!). A fenced in yard would be great for her. She would do well with respectful kids. When she's doing zoomies ore playing hard, she could definitely knock over a little one so would always need supervision with any kids (as any dog should have). She learns quickly and loves positive praise. Bria is an amazingly sweet girl and is ready to find her forever family! Approximate birthdate 7/15/23
