Bria's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beautiful Bria is ready for her new home! Bria came to us from Texas with her sister Baylor. We are not sure what her mix is, possibly Chihuahua and she weighs around 14-15 pounds.

Bria and Baylor had a rough start before being rescued. They were found as strays, wandering the streets, pregnant, and also tested positive for heartworm. Fortunately, our partners in Texas took them in. They received heartworm treatment in Texas and they will require monthly heartworm prevention for the rest of their lives.

Bria is an absolutely delightful little girl! She might be a bit shy at first, but once she gets to know you, her sweet and loving personality really shines through. Bria loves to be with other dogs and enjoys cuddling up next to them or just hanging out together. She is playful too but snuggling is her super power! She would be happy to have a furry friend in her new home to share adventures with!

In her foster home, Bria seems to be housetrained, and having a fully fenced yard is a big plus—she adores sunbathing in it! Just remember that she might need a little time to adjust to her new surroundings and routine.

Bria is working on her leash skills, and with some patience and encouragement, she’ll be walking right by your side in no time. She’s also crate trained and has a lot of fun with her toys and chewables.

This calm girl really enjoys the cozy comfort of home, whether it’s snuggling on a soft bed or lounging on the couch. Bria is hoping to find a laid-back family who will love her and provide a safe, loving environment. She can’t wait to meet you!

Bria is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and treated for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450

We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security. 12/6/25 8:13 AM

Pixie Mamas Rescue's Adoption Policy
Pixie Mamas Rescue does not have a shelter or kennel facility. All dogs live in foster homes - they are part of our families! We have no time limit on how long the dogs stay in foster care - as long as it takes to find a home that suits them. Our foster homes work with the animal on basic manners, crate- and house-training, and correcting any behavioral issues that an animal may have. We require an adoption application, a veterinary reference (if applicable), and a home visit. Unfortunately, we are unable to adopt out of state (including Canada) or over 1.5 hours away from Buffalo, NY. Any travel IN our adoption area is at the discretion of the foster home. We do not ship dogs. You must be willing to come to the Buffalo NY area to complete the adoption after the home visit. The decision to place a dog in a home rests with the Foster home and Pixie Mamas Board. We only have the best interests of the animal at heart and we know best that animal's needs and temperament. Pixie Mamas Rescue reserves the right to approve or deny your application without explanation. Applications are kept on file for 1 year. You do not need to reapply within that year unless your information has changed. Please read the list below of general requirements and information for all adopting families. If you do not meet one of the requirements, please do not submit an Adoption Application. Applicants must be 25 or older Applications must be filled out completely. References are a must! Animals will not be adopted to any college students. Animals may not be adopted as a "gift" for someone unless all family members are aware of the adoption and meet the animal before the adoption takes place Dogs must not be left crated for more than 8 hours If you have a current pet, they must be up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. This includes cats. Dogs must have annual vet exams.. If renting, verbal approval from the landlord is required to keep the dog on the premises All applicants must be willing to receive a home inspection and meet and greet prior to adoption (all family members and their pets must be present) If you have a current pet, your pet must meet the new pet before the adoption is finalized to make sure they will be compatible to live together We do not adopt small dogs to homes with an electric fence. In addition, an electric fence is not acceptable for dogs that require a fenced in yard. Adoption Fees are Non Negotiable and Non Refundable If you adopt from Pixie Mamas Rescue and you cannot keep the pet for any reason, you must return the animal to Pixie Mamas Rescue. There is no guarantee that because you apply for the dog that you are going to adopt the dog. We seriously consider all applications but if we should suggest another dog for your home, it is because we truly know these dogs and possibly there is another dog that is a better fit. We strive for as best of a match as possible. Proper placement takes into consideration many things, including size, male/female, activity level, children and ages of the children, fencing or lack of, amount of time dog will spend home alone, and many other considerations. We cannot respond to everyone personally. Please follow us on Facebook for updates. We cannot "hold" a dog for you. If you are considering adopting a dog but are going on vacation in the near future, please WAIT until you return to adopt. We do not Foster to Adopt or have trial adoptions We require a non-refundable adoption donation. Our fees start at $350 for adult dogs. "Highly Adoptables" (puppies/purebreds ,etc.) may be more. We sometimes reduce the fee for senior and special-needs dogs for the right adopters and some of our dogs receive sponsorships to help them get adopted. All the animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, wormed, flea-treated, and microchipped.
