We were hungry, covered in fleas, and suffering from demodectic mange (the non-contagious kind). We didnt understand why we had been abandoned—we just wanted someone to love us.<br/><br/>By some miracle, a kind person found us before it was too late and called Animal Control.<br/><br/>The shelters are overflowing right now, and because we needed medical care, Animal Control knew the shelter wouldnt have the resources to help us. Without a rescue stepping in, our story could have ended before we ever had the chance to know what it feels like to be loved.<br/><br/>Then something wonderful happened.<br/><br/>Bullies and Buddies Rescue opened their hearts and said YES to us.<br/><br/>Now Im about 4 mo old, and every day Im discovering that the world isnt such a scary place after all. My fur is all grown back, my skin is healed , and so is my heart.<br/><br/>Im a Am Staff/Pit Bull mix, so Ill grow into a big, beautiful girl. Even though Ive had a difficult start, Im incredibly gentle, affectionate, and full of love. I ADORE other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine friend to help me continue building trust and confidence.<br/><br/>The best part? I love dogs, cats, and kids(older)I dont care how big your family is—I just want to belong to one.<br/><br/>Ive survived abandonment. Ive survived illness. Now all Im missing is someone who will look at me and say, Youre home.<br/><br/>Could that someone be you?<br/><br/>Please dont let my past be the reason Im overlooked.
