Bree's Story
Meet Bree! Short for Aubrey Please fill out an application to meet her! [https://www.welcomehomesanctuary.org/adoption-application](https://www.welcomehomesanctuary.org/adoption-application)

Living with Aubrey is like having a tiny, 16-pound track star who also moonlights as a personal fashion critic. At 16 weeks old, she is a bundle of playful energy—definitely the "zoomie" champion of the house—and her favorite hobbies include high-speed sprints and the occasional attempt to "play" with your pants legs (she is a puppy, after all!).

Aubrey is a beautiful mix of shy and spirited. While she might start out a little cautious with new people, it only takes a moment of quiet affection before she is coming forward to ask for pets. She is a "soft-touch" kind of girl when it comes to walks; if you put too much pressure on her leash, she’ll gracefully lie down to protest, so she is looking for a partner who prefers a gentle, low-pressure stroll.

She is already a total pro at car rides and behaves like a perfect lady at the vet, where she is incredibly easy to handle for her checkups. Aubrey is already crate trained and is a total dream at night, sleeping all the way through until morning without a peep. If she needs to go outside, she’ll give the door a polite little scratch to let you know she’s ready for a potty break.

While she can be a bit sensitive to loud, unexpected sounds—her first instinct is to find a hiding spot—she recovers almost instantly with a little bit of love and assurance. and gets along famously with other dogs easy going and always up for a play session with them, often being the first one to go up and initiate a game of tag.

The thing we love most about Aubrey? She is a world-class professional at being picked up and hugged.
