Brandy's Story

What a great girl! Brandy grew up in a home and was a wonderful, well-mannered companion to her people. When the couple's grown daughter became critically ill, Brandy's care was entrusted to Our Pal's Place at our Daycare, Boarding & Training (DB&T) facility. For months-on-end, the couple traveled between their home in Atlanta and their daughter's home in North Carolina. At each reunion with her people, Brandy cherished their time together! Eventually, the couple decided it best to move and live near their daughter. As Brandy packed her bags delighted to finally be back full-time with her people, her dad was re-diagnosed with cancer. The family was devasted with yet another health challenge. This time with a very sad heart the couple approached Our Pal's Place with a plea to take Brandy back ... permanently. All of our respective hearts were broken.

Our Pal's Place made the decision that Brandy would remain at DB&T rather than returning to our rescue's Pet Adoption Facility. Brandy had made so many friends, knew her routine and was very loved by the DB&T team. Though her spirit saddened at times as she missed the reunions with her people, Brandy kept her head high and played delightfully with her friends.
