Brandy - You're a fine girl, you make a good dog indeed. Your eyes could steal a sailor from the sea.! Meet 5 yr old beautiful Brandy... now we know that you're going to see how adorable she is and get too distracted to read this next part, but please give it a read: Poor little Brandy has some trust issues. When she first came into rescue, she was wide eyed with terror and would scream and snap anytime she was touched. We're not sure what happened in her past to cause this, but a patient foster family and some calming medications have helped her overcome it for the most part. That being said, Brandy is likely not ever going to be a "take her to the coffee shop" kind of dog, <br/>Give her a backyard with a neighbor to give her treats over the fence, and a safe adult only household and she will have you wrapped around her finger. She's kennel trained but a really good girl about not chewing or getting into things when out of the crate and, bonus, shes also housetrained! Her kennel is her safe space and for the first 2 weeks she found comfort there, and still continues to spend lots of time in her little she-shed.<br/>Brandy is great with other dogs but thinks she needs to bark at neighboring cats. If you can provide a home where touch may come in small batches AT HER PACE for the first two weeks, are an adult only home, and will advocate for her when meeting new people (seriously, no touchy!) Brandy would love to meet you. If you have small children, slower reaction time, and want an immediate cuddle bug, this brown eyed girl is not for you. We know this sounds like.. a lot and yes, it takes a special home, but we know her perfect person is out there. <br/>If you're interested in adoption, our adoptions require an approved application.
