BRAN*'s Story

Bran is a handsome boy who named himself after his favorite breakfast cereal- Raisin Bran! Just kidding- who even likes Raisin Bran? He’s more of a Fruity Pebbles kind of pooch. Bran was at the shelter once before in early 2023 and recently returned after being found as a stray. His finder kept him for about two weeks and said he was non-destructive in their home, housebroken, affectionate and playful. Here’s what Bran’s friends at the shelter had to say about him: “I really love Bran. He’s generally calm in his kennel, and often found napping with his undercarriage to the sky, which always makes me laugh. He’s easy to leash, polite on his walks, and independent but a bit affectionate. In the play yard, Bran will explore the perimeter and make sure to smell all the smells, but always comes back to his person for some pets and affection. Just a very nice, very good boy.” “Bran was wiggly and excited when I approached his kennel. I asked him to sit and then I entered his kennel. I leashed him up and we left the kennel area. He did his business immediately when we got outside. He relaxed more after going potty and walked with less tension on the leash. He showed me his sit and took treats nicely from my hand.” “I took Bran out today and he walked very nicely. He didn’t pull at all for me. He wasn’t very interested in treats but really enjoyed being outside.” “Bran was very calm today. He was taking a nap when I asked him if he wanted to go on a walk and he hopped right up. Easy to leash and I took him to the nearest yard where he proceeded to go about his business. Very mellow. When he was done he came over for some ear scritches.” Bran is a happy, mellow guy who loves to play tug and gives excellent kisses. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Bran today!
