Bramwell Rush's Story
Bramwell Rush, aka 'Rusty' is an approximately 8 year male yorkie that weighs 6.5 pounds.
Rusty, the young senior Yorkie mix, has made it clear that what he wants in a forever home is a single lady friend. No men and no kids.
So, when Rusty came into the program he had been surrendered by his owner who had gotten ill and Rusty would not allow her husband to care for him. At the shelter he had no issues with men. His original foster home was a single woman, but on a working farm with lots of men and kids and Rusty was fine. We did adopt him into a home with a husband and sons. At the meet and greet everything went great….and his first week was okay. But as time passed he began to show his discomfort around everyone other than the mom. So we brought him back into the program and our trainer took him into her home….also with a husband a son. Again, he was “okay” in the beginning but his discomfort with them began to show within a few days and has not changed. So we aren’t going to force it!!! But we are going to make sure that the next home is the best match possible based on our new information, so that he will be there forever and ever. He is a wonderful companion who enjoys his human and is super eager to have that bond. He loves to play and go for car rides and will snuggle up with his favorite lady at the end of the day!

Rusty is up to date on shots and preventatives and is microchipped. His adoption fee is any donation you can afford which will be used to help cover some of his medical costs.
All dogs adopted locally through SGDR Receive a free six week session of obedience classes and a lifetime of behavioral support through our project reward program with director/trainer Ashley Reum. Visit our website below for an adoption application- https://www.SnootyGiggles.com/dog-application/

If you expect to leave the dog alone for long periods of time, please do not consider adopting a puppy. Puppies need lots of attention and companionship. Thanks.

All known information about the animal is listed above. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and do not come with a known history.
