Bradford's Story

Meet Bradford! This 9lb one year old pomeranian was rescued in Texas after being surrendered by a breeder. Bradford is a love bug who just wants to be included. He'd do well in a home with people home a lot and who want a true companion. He can't wait to meet you! His foster says: Hi I’m Bradford (though I’m still learning my name so you could change it if you thought something else was more fitting.) I’m a very sweet and loving little guy! I love to bond to my human and follow them around on whatever adventures they go on. I also love to be held and to snuggle. I’m not a super energetic dog and I’m still learning what toys are- but I love to scamper around outside or at the dog park and run around with other dogs. I get along with everyone- big and small dogs. I don't love to be left alone, but I'm young so this can be worked on. Other humans don’t matter to me, I want to see my main squeeze. Other than my protests at being left alone, I am a pretty silent prince- I don’t really bark at sounds, people or other dogs. I’m just beginning to understand treats so training is getting easier. I’m very comfortable in my crate and love to lay down in my safe place. I’m also hypoallergenic and don’t shed very much which is nice for people with allergies. Overall my foster mom says I’m a perfect sweet boy- very loving, chill but playful, snuggly and a lover of all people and other doggies. I’ve been learning and improving every day and she thinks I’ll be perfect very soon. I’m the best boy!" INTERESTED IN ADOPTING? True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy

First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
