Bradbury's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hello, potential families! We are the literary litter – all named after influential authors. We are Steinbeck, Twain, Hawthorne, Burroughs, Richardson, Bradbury and Bierce. We are looking for our very own families who will help us write our stories!

Let us set the scene. We were living in a rural shelter. It was a bit cold and hopeless feeling, without much potential for “Happily ever after”. However, the people who worked there were so nice and caring! They said “Let’s try a rescue.”

Rescue Rovers said yes (!) and the seven of us boys came to our foster home!

It’s been pretty great since then. We get regular meals, soft warm blankets, other dogs to play with, even a little boy to run around with. We’ve really enjoyed our time here, but it’s time to begin our next chapter.

A little backstory for you – we are listed as cattle dog mixes (looks like some pittie in the mix!) and we are 3 months old. We are fun and playful pups, and we are smart, too! We are 50% or more on our potty training and we come running if our foster mom whistles.

We’re looking for homes full of love, mostly. We’d also love to be active, go to training classes and have other dogs or kids to play with.

We’re ready to find you! Are you ready for us?

Apply to meet us today at

or come meet us at the Riverton IFA adoption event this Saturday!

PS - We don’t want to lean too heavily on foreshadowing, but we’re pretty sure you’re going to love us.

Hi, I'm Bradbury. I'm a beautiful 2.5 month old 20 pound black puppy with white markings on my chin and chest. I'm a smart cattle dog with a calm personality my favorite things to do despite being calm or wrestling with my brothers and playing with toys. Occasionally my foster moms border collie can get me to do zoomies around the yard. I am working on lease training, House training, using the dog doors and some basic commands.

My foster mom highly recommends going to training classes because I have a big beautiful brain and I need direction and boundaries so that I can be the best dog that I can possibly be.
