Brad Pitt's Story

Brad Pitt may not walk red carpets, but he’s a total star in our eyes. Found as a stray, Brad struggled with anxiety and barrier frustration in the shelter. Since moving into a foster home, he’s blossomed into a calm, gentle, and intelligent companion.
Brad is housebroken, quiet, and very attentive to training. He’s highly food-motivated and eager to learn, making him a great match for someone interested in dog training.
At home, we’ve been focusing on impulse control. He’s learning to wait patiently in his crate, not bolt out the door, and approach meals with a little more calm. He has come a long way and continues to improve every day. His leash skills are also impressive. Brad checks in often on walks, walks calmly at your side, and will even sit automatically when you stop. He would do best in a home without young children. Brad is still working on impulse control around doors and can get overstimulated at barriers. A home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids or teens will be the safest and most successful match for him as he continues learning calmer behavior.
Brad has done well with his older female canine housemate. They enjoy calm walks together and he has done well respecting her need for space. He enjoys wrestling with his foster dad, zooming around the yard, and sunbathing with a good chew toy. He is a super chewer, so he needs durable toys and bones. He is not overly clingy but does appreciate the occasional couch cuddle.

Brad Pitt is a loyal, smart, and affectionate dog who is ready for his next chapter. Could that be with you?

If interested, please fill out a preliminary at odas.org/canine and someone will contact you to schedule your visit.
