Bouncer Catahoula Leopard Dog Ransomville, NY

Meet our boy Bouncer! He is a 5 year old Neutered Catahoula Cur mix. Bouncer was found outside a gas station close to a Lake. He was super skinny and covered in fleas but he was neutered. We were hoping he was lost and maybe we could reunite him with his owners but after weeks of looking and watching for ads, we came to the sad conclusion that Bouncer was probably dropped off and left. It is heartbreaking but in the south we see this all the time.
Bouncer was sooo happy to have a warm meal and people to love him once he arrived at BARK! He stole all of our hearts! ? He is such a great boy and loves to go on walks- we definitely think Bouncer would do best in a home with either a friendly female dog or no other dog. He does like to play with other dogs but he is selective. Bouncer likes some dogs but he is definitely more of an alpha male. He doesn’t seem interested in cats really at all.
We would love to see Bouncer in an active home where he can go canoeing and kayaking and hiking. He loves activities and any time he can spend with humans! Sadly Bouncer has been in a shelter setting for 1,185 days as of September 2024! This is heartbreaking and honestly not his fault. He came in to our rescue when all the Covid Restrictions were still in place or unfortunately he was overlooked online. He is one of our longest residents at BARK. We have a handful of these babies that came in during that time and sadly have been overlooked. Please consider meeting this handsome guy. He really is full of love and energy that needs to be shared with a family!!!
