I'm a 3 year old adventuring love bug. I literally love my people, and LOVE to be around them. I get the zoomies every now and then, and love playing MY version of fetch. You throw it, I get it, and I get to rip it around for a bit before I'll let you throw it again. It is my favorite, well after getting pets and attention. I can be a little anxious in new places, but I do really well when my people are with me, and if it means I get to meet new friends, I'm all in. I travel very well, and usually just nap in the back seat until we get to where we are going. Once my energy burst is out, I'm all about chilling and relaxing as long as I'm in the same space as my humans. <br/><br/>I do really well on leashes and walks, I occasionally will pull but with appropriate redirection and reminders I remember the rules and settle right back down. But I do love going for walks, smelling new smells and seeing all the new things. I really enjoy it, like I will literally stop to smell the flowers. I'm not a huge fan of water, my foster mom has taken me two times to see a lake, and two times I was not into it. My foster mom isn't sure if that's a fear I'll overcome, but seeing how far I've come since she has had me give her lots of hope I could learn to tolerate it someday. I do tolerate baths if it's a high sided wash tub, I'm not thrilled that you're wrecking my hair-do, but for the right amount of pets, kisses and treats I'll let you wash and trim my nails. <br/><br/>I am house broken and I am very good at alerting that I need to go outside. I also do great in a crate during the work day and overnight. I will bark if I need to go out. My foster family says I'm sometimes a little too enthusiastic in showing my love, but I can't help I'm a lover. I can struggle with being over-stimulated every now and then, although a routine and consistency helps me with this as well. But when it happens I just need a quick game of fetch or a quick walk outside and I settle pretty quickly. I know the commands, "sit", "wait" and "leave it". "Down" (lay-down), "Stay" and "Off" (getting off furniture or not jumping) are commands I'm working on. I am not always super treat motivated to learn, I want attention and need to burn my energy before doing any kind of training. I do best with consistency of expectations and I do learn quickly what you want. <br/><br/>I do best with adults and slightly bigger kids, or kids who understand dog boundaries and are comfortable with providing dog commands. I can be a little jumpy and in your face trying to give kisses, but my foster family thinks that would improve quickly once I've settled into a new routine at my furever home. I do well with other dogs and with cats. I show interest in cats, but I'm just looking for a friend to play with.<br/><br/>Overall I'm just a lover looking for my furever home.
