Boss's Story

Meet Boss!

AKA: Bossy-Wossy, Boss-Hoss, Flossy Bossy, or just our beloved Bossy Boy

Boss is a five-year-old Shar Pei mix with a heart as big as his adorable, wrinkly head! His past may not have been easy, but this resilient boy hasn’t let that stop him from becoming one of the happiest, most loving dogs you’ll ever meet.

Boss loves nothing more than a good belly rub and will happily flop into your lap like he’s a tiny five-pound puppy. Scratch his back near his tail and he’ll thank you with the cutest little nibbles or gently wrap his big mouth around your hand in pure bliss (all love, no bite—just Boss being Boss).

Despite his rough beginnings, Boss has blossomed into a goofy, affectionate companion who’s ready to find his forever family. He gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs, and he’s learned that being an indoor dog with people who love him is the best life ever.

Boss does have a few quirks—he’s a natural explorer and can’t resist the thrill of a good chase, so he needs a home without cats and a secure yard (no gaps or pickets for this clever guy to wiggle through!). But don’t worry—if Boss ever gets a taste of adventure, he’s quick to hop right back in the car with a happy grin, ready to head home.

Through love, patience, and plenty of hot dogs Boss has shown incredible growth and adaptability. He’s affectionate, goofy, and loyal—an irresistible combination that makes him the perfect best friend.

Come meet Boss and let his big smile and bigger heart win you over!

His adoption fee is $175 which includes vaccinations, neuter, microchip, heartworm negative test with current monthly preventative. Come meet Boss on Saturday 11-2 at 8901 highway 87 building 119. You can also email adoptions.spspca@gmail.com with questions.
