Boris's Story

Petfinder Profiles doesn’t always work.

Boris
Lexington, KY

Boris the Blue is on a search for the perfect family!

At 13 weeks old, Boris is a cute as a button, but is a VERY confidant, bold, and 110% cattle puppy!

Boris is NOT for the faint of heart! He is a confident puppy that while adorable will need an experienced cattle dog home to help channel his energy and mind. He is extremely food motivated, wicked smart, picks up on basic commands / tricks very quickly. He will likely do well in dog sports and has already shown how confident he is running up and down a A-frame on an agility course. While Boris is a typical “mouthy” cattle dog pup, he is responding well to correction. He does “herd” ankles so a home with young kids would be very very challenging and not recommended. Older children with dog experience will be just fine.

He wants to please, loves fetch, tug, and all toys and bones.

He is doing well with crate and potty training but will need ongoing training as he is so young. He will need structure, a schedule and puppy classes are highly recommended. Boris is not going to be a Cattle Dog fit for apartment/city living. He most definitely needs a yard and room to run freely.

Boris is UTD on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. He will be adopted out with a neuter contract.

Questions about Boris? Email kebtyler@yahoo.com

Apply to adopt Boris: acdra.org/adoption-application
