Boone 's Story

Meet Boone — your new full-throttle adventure buddy! 🐾⚡
Boone is a 3½-year-old Husky mix who came to us simply because he was living outdoors during brutal cold weather. And honestly? This boy was never meant to be left outside—he was meant to RUN, THINK, PLAY, and LIVE BIG.
Boone is high energy, but he has been working hard on his manners, and his activity level has become much more manageable with proper exercise, structure, and routine. When his physical and mental needs are met, Boone settles nicely and is a joy to work with.
While he’s a mix, Boone absolutely inherited classic husky traits—vocal, expressive, goofy, and demanding in the most endearing way. We also suspect there may be some Australian Shepherd in him, which would explain why he’s incredibly intelligent and thrives when he has a purpose.
One thing that truly stands out about Boone?
✨ He lives for praise.
Boone loves being reassured that he’s a good boy and responds beautifully to positive reinforcement. He’s fairly independent, but verbal encouragement means the world to him.
What Boone is all about:
🧠 Extremely intelligent and driven
🐕 Has played with other dogs here and made good friends
🤼 Loves romping, rowdy play, and high-energy dog buddies
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Great with all people—he hasn’t met a stranger he didn’t like
🚫 Likely no cats
❄️ LOVES the snow
🪑 Knows how to sit
🚶‍♂️ Does well pottying while out on walks
🚶‍♂️ Working on leash manners—does well until something exciting catches his attention
🏃‍♂️ Boone still needs an outlet.
He’s not a couch-potato pup, but he’s also not unmanageable when his needs are met. Boone is happiest when he’s:
• Going on long walks or runs
• Being a jogging or hiking partner
• Playing hard with another energetic dog
• Exploring a large yard
• Learning new skills, tricks, or tasks
• Getting regular mental enrichment and structure
While Boone would be amazing on a farm or large property, we are not limiting him to only that type of home. He can thrive in any home that understands his needs and is willing to continue the structure and training he’s already benefiting from.
🗣️ Important to know:
Boone is vocal, expressive, and very husky-like—which means he’s not for everyone. But for the right person? He’s going to be an absolute rockstar. He’s the kind of dog who gives you everything he has when you give him the chance to shine.
✨ If you’re active, motivated, love a challenge, and want a dog who will keep life exciting—Boone might just be your perfect match.
Interested in Boone? Stop in during our normal business hours to meet him and spend some time getting to know this incredible boy.
