We met Boone on a quiet day in Titus County.

No one looking for him.
No one calling his name.
Just a dog... wandering.

Robin found him on 02/23 and gave him something he may not have had in a long time-

A place to exhale.

Boone didn't come with a story we could trace.
But his eyes... they told us enough.

Soulful.
Grateful.
Like he couldn't quite believe he was safe.

We later found out Boone was microchipped.

Because somewhere along the way...
it probably did.

But day by day, something changed.

He's learning.

Learning that the bowl will be full again.
That no one is coming to take it away.
That there is enough now.

And once he started to believe that...
we got to see who Boone really is.

A good boy.
A gentle soul.
A quiet presence that just wants to be near you.

He sits and watches as baby squirrels are fed-
calm, curious, peaceful.

He's been tested with cats (and ye
