He is a lovable, playful cattle dog. Boone came from a very rural and remote part of eastern KY and nothing is known about his life before ACDRA. Boone was dumped at a landfill and fortunately a team of volunteers connected him with ACDRA.

Boone is approx 1 yr old and weighs about 45 lbs. Boone still has some puppy energy, but is learning good manners walking on a leash. Since he comes from a rural area, he can get over-stimulated by all the newness, causing him to rush and pull. Boone is learning to be a house dog and potty training is coming along well, but he will need to have a continued schedule and patient family to understand he is still learning. He has shown to be very friendly with everyone he meets.

Boone is doing well with crate training but he much prefers to be WITH his humans. He does cry when he is initially crated, but is learning it is safe place and that we always come back. Some say cattle dogs don’t snuggle, well this is not true for Boone! He loves a good snuggle nap next to you (or on you if you permit).

If you are looking for a young, fun, affectionate cattle dog, Boone is the dog for you. He very much wants to be a good boy which makes him very trainable. He will need consistency, structure and love to flourish.

Approximate Age: 1 yr
Neutered & Up to date on all vaccinations
Microchip pending
De-worming treatment in process

Please contact Mader82@gmail.com.

If you want to meet Boone, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application
