Boone's Story

Meet Boone the Hugger! And read on to see why Boone is rocking the ear accessory 💕
Boone is a 4‑year‑old, 65‑pound Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) who is healthy, potty trained, and very snuggly with his people. He is looking for an active home that can give him plenty of daily exercise, attention, and continued training.
This cool guy came from Alabama, where he lived on a farm with other dogs, cats, pigs, cows and is now acclimating quickly to inside life and couch time with his humans. He loves his outside time just as much as snuggling on the couch and wants to be near his people as much as possible.
Boone is a total cuddle bug who loves to hang out, give big stand‑up hugs, and form strong bonds with his humans. He knows basic commands like sit and lay, is food‑motivated, and is used to being around many dogs, but is having trouble sharing his foster mom with her other furry baby so he really prefers to have all the attention.
Boone needs regular exercise and mental stimulation through walks, play, or “jobs” to keep him happy and well behaved.
He is still learning boundaries such as not counter surfing or jumping up for hugs.
Boone is currently recovering from an ear hematoma, and it is improving every day, so his new family should be ready to continue basic care while he finishes healing.
To be considered please complete an application http://bit.ly/FARRapplication.
