Boo's Story

Introducing Boo, a happy, playful, and very handsome Black Lab mix who is ready to find his forever home!

Boo was found as a stray and brought to us by a kind person who wanted to make sure this sweet boy had the chance to find the safe, loving home he deserves. Now about 19 weeks old, Boo is settling in beautifully at his foster home and making the most of his fresh start. He’s getting plenty of love, playtime, and opportunities to learn all the things a growing puppy needs to know.
And this clever little guy is catching on quickly! Boo is already working on his potty training and basic commands, making great progress as he learns his puppy manners. He’s an eager student who will benefit from an adopter willing to keep up the good work with consistent, positive training as he grows. After all, even the best-behaved puppies need a little guidance along the way!

Boo has also been getting acquainted with the world around him. So far, he hasn’t shown any reaction when seeing cats, and his interactions with other dogs suggest he may be happy to make some canine friends. There are two other dogs at his foster home, and they have been getting along very well. Boo is continuing to socialize and build confidence, and with thoughtful introductions and ongoing positive experiences, he’ll have a great foundation for life as a well-rounded companion.

We can picture Boo thriving in a variety of homes. He could be the one-and-only pet for someone who wants to devote their time and affection to a wonderful young pup, or he might enjoy joining a family with another friendly dog or even a cat. Most importantly, Boo needs a home that understands the needs of a growing puppy and is ready to give him plenty of attention, exercise, play, and continued training. With that kind of commitment, this sweet boy has all the potential to grow into an amazing lifelong companion!

And did we mention how handsome he is? Boo sports a sleek, shiny black coat with the cutest little patch of white fur on his chest. We expect him to grow into a medium-sized dog, making him a lovely companion for all sorts of adventures, from neighborhood walks to backyard playtime to simply hanging out with his favorite people.

Boo is up to date on his vaccinations and ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family of his own. He’s off to a wonderful start — now he just needs someone to help him reach his full potential and show him what it means to be home for good.

Could Boo be the missing piece of your family? If you’re looking for a sweet, playful pup to grow alongside you, this handsome gentleman might just be your guy!

If so, kindly fill out our required application, which can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SPLC/Dog

For the safety of our animals, home checks are a requirement of adoption, but we make this as unobtrusive and convenient as possible.

THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog!
