THE FIRST STEP: Please go to www.barkbarkwag.org and click on "Let's Get Started!" for our adoption application, and to learn about our easy 3-step adoption process, adoption costs and vet care included! *PLEASE NOTE: WE NEED AN ADOPTION APPLICATION TO START THE PROCESS, the short Petfinder questionnaire is *not* our adoption application.*

APPLICATION & INFO:
https://barkbarkwag.org/adopt.html

BONNIE
Bonnie is an amazing bestie and all-around great girl! She's a gentle, refined young lady who loves a good game of tug or fetch, and is sometimes a bit shy meeting new people at first (especially men). Once she knows she's safe, you see that she's quietly confident and comfortable in her own skin. Bonnie knows who she is and what she wants; and she appreciates and thrives on a steady routine, and knowing what's coming up next.

Bonnie knows how to do alllll the things (walk well on a leash, calmly enjoy a bath and groom, ride nicely in the car, sit for treats and take them gently, eat her meals when it's time, snuggle up for a movie on the couch, burrow under the covers, wag and trot over when she hears her name, rock a sweater or coat in style, gently paw at you for more bellyrubs, and the list goes on).

Though she's fine with respectful kids, their noise and activity makes her nervous; so she would prefer not to live with kids. She's happy and affectionate, but not overly needy or kissy; she's just happy to be where her favorite people are.

She's a sweet and respectful houseguest, and is house-trained on a regular schedule. She is crate-trained, but doesn't love it or require a crate; she's a good girl and doesn't get into anything she shouldn't. She *loves* to go for 1-2 walks a day, and she does have a bit of prey drive and pulls/barks when she sees squirrels or bunnies! She adores sleeping in the people bed (or in her own dog bed, though that's her second choice), and she's happy to burrow under the covers and stay put for the night!

IMPORTANT: Bonnie does not enjoy the company of most other pets; she's a loyal best friend to her human, and wants to be your one and only! She requires regular weekly brushing, plus a groomer visit every 8 to 10 weeks. Bonnie is a Shih-Tzu and Boston Terrier mix who is 5 years old and 14.5#. She loves romping in the snow, going for car rides long or short, sharing a cozy blanket afterward, and enjoying a nice nap with you. She's an easy keeper who's so easy to love, and she'll wrap her little paws right around your heart.

Bonnie's Original Facebook Post:
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17cnKVq574/

Bonnie will be a loyal friend and companion for a lucky family who promises to love her always!
